Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club

ExtravaganzaThe club held the 36th Scottish Transport Extravaganza in July 2010. This event is regarded as one of the premier vintage motoring events in Scotland and one of the largest of its kind in Britain.

The following details were taken from the SVVC website priot to the event............

Along with all of our vehicular displays and stands we are proud to announce the return to the ring with their daring show James Dylan Stuntworld who will wow us all with a variety of stunts.

The event will once more have over 1300 vehicles on display representing a wide variety of transports, ranging from the first cars built, up to the more newer modes of transport, but you can also see a wide array of cycles, tractors, engines, commercials, military and lots more.

We also boast around 150 stands comprising autojumble, motor trade, antiques, fundraising and a craft tent, where you can see craft persons making their own goods. Many car clubs from all over the UK now visit the show and help to add a variety of same make vehicular displays whilst others bring a cross section of all motors! Again this year we are happy to be touring the country far and near with our raffle which this year is a 1969 VW Convertible Beetle, see any Committee Member or contact the office for tickets.

Glamis CastleWe appreciate that coming to an event such as ours can give you a good appetite and there are plenty of good quality caterers willing to provide much needed nourishment, whether it be a snack, a full meal or just a cool ice cream. We are very fortunate to be able to hold the Extravaganza in the beautiful grounds of Glamis Castle.

The Castle provides a magnificent backdrop to our event and with something for all the family to enjoy, we can recommend the 36th Scottish Transport Extravaganza. ...............
